The South African Social Security Agency (SASSA) in Mpumalanga is currently viewing the Fernie two Community Hall in Mpuluzi to render providers to the community.

SASSA might be rendering companies for instance new social grant applications, change of payment method, consumer care enquiries, and also the Social Relief of Distress (SRD) COVID-19 grant enquiries.

In a press release, the agency reported it can be alarmed regarding the higher range of people counting on social grants for survival.
“The aim with the Integrated Registration Outreach Programme [ICROP] is to reach-out into a high amount of clients/beneficiaries to access SASSA services.

“This is often a result of the lack of infrastructure at Fernie and there is no entirely functional office devoted to service the area on a daily basis. The provider issue developed for intervention activities a significant inflow of potential beneficiaries, which makes it challenging to the Workplace to attend to all people who stop by a service point.

“In this reach-out programme, SASSA will mobilise more resources to enable the servicing of all customers and improve entry to Social Assistance providers,” the agency said.
